Lemons: Always Delicious
Writer Giovanna Coppola is a downright Lemon Lover and homebody extraordinaire. This dear friend of mine lives and writes Limonata Lounge on the island of Ischia, which is just off the southern coast of Italy, near Naples. I delight in her IG feed, which features heavy splashes of yellow throughout, and I genuinely enjoy how she is so often exalting the spiritual and symbolic virtues of this beloved citrus while weaving it into her visual story.
Rhianna Wurman of Ello Lovey also agrees that lemons are amazing. Together we have been curating this Pinterest board for a couple months now, and I think it's finally time to share it. Rhianna is an artist based in Asheville, NC who makes the sweetest cards and Illustrations while also hosting a monthly #doodleaday prompt over at @ellolovey on IG. So fun!
How could we not love this eternal Mediterranean classic?! Lemons create a relentlessly cheery and bright sense of celebration. It's so worth taking a moment to celebrate and recognize their beauty. Humble and seemingly ever-present, this year I have noticed this winter fruit popping up just about everywhere in the handmade world.
So here are some of our favorite lemon designs that have got us drooling. I couldn't help it, I had to add my absolute favorite watercolor tutorial at the end, cuz I know you crafty like that.
Hope you enjoy this round-up of 11 Handmade Lemons We Love!

When people ask me why I named my shop October Forever, I am genuinely confused. To me, its so obvious, but then I remember that having a business is a chance to communicate to others through your work.
October is the beginning of Cozy Times. Here in the U.S. we begin to evoke the sweet symbols of togetherness, time with friends, time in nature, and of course the sharing of food and drink. All of these things are what I want to encourage, evoke and share with my customers. I want someone to come home from a hard day at work and feel calmer when they glance at their potted plant on the window sill while sipping tea from their favorite mug. I want my customers to generously bake and share pies with each other in and on ceramics that were made with love. I hope that some simple piece of ceramic jewelry someone throws on in the morning makes them feel a casual confidence and gets them a butt-ton of compliments.
So yeah, October. Its home time, me time, sharing time, and maybe even GD pumpkin spice latte time. Get that cozy, get it and keep it and spread it all over, all year long, forever.
